One of the finest DJs in the country, and a massively under-rated producer, Chimpo is a fine example of how Manchester has managed to take a collision of influences and create its own sound and own swagger. A connoisseur of garage, dancehall, rap, drum’n’bass and grime, his sets and beats run the gamut of styles and tempos, but always join the dots in a way that makes 100% dancefloor sense and manages to create fresh twists every time.
